Record advance ticket sales for anniversary: Germany's most important festival is looking forward to 90,000 fans. From June 6-8, 2025, Rock am Ring will celebrate its 40th anniversary with 100 acts.

Just in time for its fortieth anniversary, the legendary German festival is reporting sold out. Never before have 90,000 tickets for the mega-event at the Nürburgring been sold out so early.

Rock am Ring has been breaking records for months, and now the most important German festival is sold out. In a highly dynamic European festival landscape, the industry leader is holding its own by focusing on an exclusive program and on the festival experience of the fans – the classic Rock am Ring values.
The success story comes just in time for the 40th anniversary of the iconic festival. On the 1985 Whitsun weekend, tens of thousands of music fans made the pilgrimage to the Nürburgring for the first time, in a different century, a completely different festival landscape.

The anniversary edition now represents both the history of Rock am Ring and a departure into the future. In times of constant change, the genuine festival promise of a temporary utopia on the Ring remains and each year anew creates the framework for a well-organized chaos. 

The newly designed Rock am Ring site, with its futuristic elements, towering LED columns and the biggest stages in the festival's history, is symbolic of this controlled escapism. “We are building a small parallel universe with numerous loving details that fans can dive into with gusto,” says Jana Posth, Festival Director Rock am Ring.
