Top-class racing on the track and the best entertainment in the paddock: During the preseason test at the Red Bull Ring—a good ten days before the season opener from April 24 to 26 in Styria—the DTM offered a strong preview of the 2026 season. An international field of top drivers, eight premium brands, and a new exclusive tire from Pirelli promise spectacular motorsport action. Off the track, the DTM attracts fans with concerts, an even more enhanced Fan Zone, and a program for the whole family. With prices starting at 49 euros, tickets remain fan- and family-friendly this year as well. Children and teens under 16 get free admission when accompanied by an adult.
Three champions and strong new additions
In a star-studded field of drivers representing eleven nations, the three DTM champions—Mirko Bortolotti (I/TGI Team by GRT) in a Lamborghini, Porsche driver Thomas Preining (Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo/Manthey), and Marco Wittmann (Fürth) in a BMW M4 GT3 Evo from Schubert Motorsport—are chasing another title. Wittmann’s teammate Kelvin van der Linde (ZA), the 2024 DTM runner-up, is aiming for his first championship title in his comeback season. The same goes for Mercedes-AMG driver Lucas Auer, who secured the runner-up title in 2025. His Mercedes-AMG teammate Maro Engel (Monaco) is celebrating an anniversary this year: The veteran is entering his tenth DTM season.
Lamborghini Debut - Upgrades at Ferrari, Ford, and Porsche
The new Lamborghini Temerario GT3 is making its DTM debut this year. The new car succeeds the Huracán GT3 Evo 2 and will be fielded by Red Bull Team Abt and TGI Team by GRT. Ferrari, Ford, and Porsche will be competing with upgraded versions of their proven cars.
New Pirelli Tire "Made in Germany" and synthetic Fuel
Tire partner Pirelli has developed a new tire exclusively for the DTM this year. The slick tire is optimally tailored to the needs of DTM cars and is produced at Pirelli’s German plant in Breuberg, Hesse—one of the most modern of the group’s 18 production sites worldwide. All DTM cars are powered by “DTM Pro Climate,” a 100 percent sustainable fuel that reduces CO2 emissions.
“The DTM is kicking off this year with a first-class field, and Pirelli’s new exclusive DTM tire is a key component in the series’ development. The quality of the drivers and teams is exceptional, and we can once again look forward to an exciting season,” says DTM Managing Director Thomas Voss.
Top-tier racing series on the supporting program
An exciting supporting program awaits visitors at every DTM race weekend. In addition to the ADAC GT Masters and the ADAC GT4 Germany, the BMW M2 Cup is also a regular feature this year. The Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Germany also has a permanent place on the DTM stage.
