04.09.2024

With the current season still in full swing at the Nürburgring, the race track and event location is already giving a preview of the coming year. From international highlights to event exotics and from motorsport to entertainment, the 2025 calendar once again promises the unique Nürburgring mix. A current overview: Exciting motorsport highlights in the Green HellNaturally, the world's longest permanent race track is also characterised by an attractive motorsport calendar in 2025. Particularly popular with fans: endurance motorsport on the Nordschleife. The highlight is the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring, which will once again put man and machine to the ultimate test from 19 to 22 June 2025 and promise a gigantic motorsport party together with tens of thousands of fans. As usual, the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) will kick off the motorsport year. After the first race on 22 March, eight more race days will follow until October, each of which usually falls on a Saturday. Only on 13 and 14 September are two race days scheduled on one weekend for the NLS and therefore also the only race Sunday in the series. The dates of the Nürburgring Rundstrecken Challenge (RCN) are another Nordschleife format on the calendar. Regularity and performance tests offer popular sport from road-legal to race-ready vehicles. From GT3 to XXL: thrilling motorsport from racing cars to race trucksFans of thrilling motorsport will once again get their money's worth on the Grand Prix circuit. The giants of motorsport will compete against each other on the sprint version of the International ADAC Truck Grand Prix from 10 - 13 July. Every year, the event delights visitors with a family-friendly concept of motorsport, festival, colourful paddock and trade fair. Included in the supporting programme: the ADAC GT Masters. The Fanatec GT World Challenge (29 - 31 August) and the Porsche Sports Cup (30 May - 1 June) will feature high-quality racing cars from the world's best-known automotive brands. The Nürburgring Drift Cup, which will host its first round on 26 and 27 April, and GRIP - the motor event that will attract the tuning community to the Eifel on 6 July, are also high on horsepower and, above all, action-packed drifting. The date for the DTM at the Nürburgring has already been finalised. However, fans will have to wait a little longer before the announcement. The racing series will present its annual calendar in the coming days. Experiences with music and muscle powerAway from the roaring sounds of engines, powerful guitar riffs await at the beginning of June. Rock am Ring will get visitors' hearts racing from 6 to 8 June. According to the recently published first wave of bands, ‘Slipknot’ and ‘Bring me the Horizon’ have already been confirmed as headliners for the festival's 40th anniversary alongside other well-known bands. A similar-sounding event name, but with a completely different intention, can be found in the 2025 calendar with Rad am Ring. In mid-July, thousands of tireless participants will once again take to the start line to conquer the Green Hell with their own muscle power. Incidentally, this is also required for the Hotfoot Run - but not on two wheels, but on foot. The obstacle course takes place on 10 May. Fast-paced PS classics in racing actionThe heroes and automotive jewels of days gone by have also once again secured several permanent places on the Ring calendar. Old and youngtimers and memories of many decades of motorsport will be brought to life on the Grand Prix circuit and the Nordschleife. The Nürburgring Classic will kick off 2025 from 13 to 15 June. This will be followed in August by the BELMOT Oldtimer Grand Prix (1st - 3rd) and the legendary ADAC 1000km race from 20th to 21st September. The ADAC RGB season finale, the ADAC Westfalen Trophy and, last but not least, the Kölner Kurs as a historic motorbike event round off the historic programme. Motorbike service and racing on two wheelsSpeaking of motorbikes: after returning to the Nürburgring this year, the International Motorcycle Championship (IDM) is also on the calendar for the coming season. From 5 to 7 September, the series will kick off with thrilling two-wheel racing. There will be impressive pictures of thousands of motorbikes off the racing line at the ‘Anlassen’ motorbike service on 27 April. One of the highlights of the programme: the joint parade around the legendary Nordschleife. Diverse indoor events: entertainment away from the racetrackThe Nürburgring also continues to see a steady increase in events away from the tarmac. And so the 2025 season in the Green Hell starts and ends with indoor events throughout the year. The International Rhine Shiai Karate Tournament will kick off the season on the second weekend in January, while the German Carnival Garda Dance Championship will be the event finale in December. Both events will take place in the ring°arena, as will two cheerleading competitions on 15 and 16 February and the ‘Darts am Ring’ gala in March. The latter is set to become the undisputed fan magnet in the indoor calendar with over 3,000 fans expected. The exact date for the flying darts event will be announced shortly. Further music and entertainment formats at the Nürburgring venues are also scheduled for next year. Comedy at NightWash live, the Nürburgring Family Day and a colourful afternoon at the Disney Channel cinema have been decided for 2025 and will soon be added to the calendar.

Rock am Ring signs up H-Blockx and Slayer icon Kerry King

15.02.2024

Kerry King, the guitarist of cult thrash metallers Slayer, who disbanded in 2019, has now confirmed his participation in Rock am Ring. After a five-year break, King recently returned with his solo project and the album "From Hell I Rise", which will be released on May 17. In addition to King on guitar, he is supported by top-class musicians such as Mark Osegueda (Death Angel) on the mic, bassist Kyle Sanders (ex-Hellyeah), guitarist Phil Demmel (Vio-lence, ex-Machine Head) and a colleague from the Slayer days, Paul Bostaph, on drums. Musically, Kerry King wants to remain true to his Slayer heritage, as his show at Ring will prove. > Full Lineup & Tickets Crossover pioneers H-Blockx have also joined the line-up, and this year they will not only be celebrating one of their first appearances at Ring since 2010. They are also celebrating the 30th anniversary of their pioneering debut album "Time To Move", which not only achieved gold status but was also named album of the year at the time, spending 62 weeks in the charts. After the band led by singer Henning Wehland returned to the stage in 2020 after a long absence from live performances, the four of them showed that they are still among the spearheads of German rock acts. Ring fans will be able to see for themselves just how fresh their rock music sounds. Unfortunately, Mudvayne have had to cancel their European concerts, including their appearance at Rock am Ring. All tickets for Rock am Ring Utopia Stage Camping are already sold out. There are only a few options left in the premium camping categories in the Experience Camp. Festival Weekend Tickets are still available in the current price category. Information on the next price level change will be announced shortly via the festival channels.

Rock am Ring - the fans' anticipation is huge

05.02.2024

In five months, Rock am Ring will kick off the 2024 festival summer and welcome fans to the legendary Nürburgring from June 7 to 9 with a mega line-up. The anticipation among fans is huge and they still have the opportunity to buy tickets at the current price level. The organizers draw a successful interim balance. "The demand for tickets is strong and the anticipation among fans is huge," announces festival organizer Matt Schwarz. More than 90,000 tickets have already been sold for the legendary rock experience at the Nürburgring and for Rock im Park in Nuremberg. In addition, tickets in the premium camping categories at the Nürburgring are becoming scarce. At Rock am Ring, the "Utopia Stage Camping" and "Experience Camping" are almost sold out. At the beginning of November last year, the entire program was announced in one fell swoop for the first time in the history of the festivals. With Green Day, Die Ärzte, Måneskin, Avenged Sevenfold, Billy Talent, Broilers, Kraftklub, Parkway Drive, Queens Of The Stone Age and many more exclusive acts, including Babymetal, Bad Omens, Beartooth, Corey Taylor, Electric Callboy and Keanu Reeves with his band Dogstar, Rock am Ring promises a weekend full of electrifying performances, intense emotions and a unique sense of togetherness on three stages.  Fans of the festival currently still have the opportunity to buy tickets at the current price level. A further price level change will be announced soon via the festival's social media channels.

Thousands of fans celebrate at Rock am Ring

05.06.2023

Under bright blue skies and ideal spring temperatures, more than 150,000 fans celebrated Germany's biggest twin festival at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park at the weekend. The Foo Fighters, Die Toten Hosen, Machine Gun Kelly, Evanescence, Apache 207 and many others gave acclaimed concerts, the organisers DreamHaus and eventimpresents drew a positive conclusion, as did the police and rescue services.  This year's edition of Rock am Ring came to an end on Sunday evening with a spectacular headlining performance by the Toten Hosen on the Utopia Stage and acclaimed concerts by metalcore legend Bring Me The Horizon on the Mandora and indie darling Thees Uhlmann & Band on the Orbit Stage. At the same time, fans celebrated the end of the twin festival Rock im Park with Apache 207, Yungblud, Juju and the Foo Fighters.   At the start of the German festival season, 72 acts with over 150,000 visitors celebrated a weekend with numerous unforgettable moments at both festivals. Equally moving and stirring performances by the Foo Fighters, at which Dave Grohl performed with his 17-year-old daughter Violet, among others, but also the exclusive headlining shows by Kings Of Leon as well as the farewell concerts by punk legends NOFX and Sum 41 underline the international status of the "Rocks": Rock am Ring and Rock im Park remains not only the biggest, but also the most versatile German twin festival. The music fans at both festivals were as enthusiastic as they were diverse and - in addition to those already mentioned - enjoyed shows by such diverse artists as the German rappers Badmómzjay, Kontra K and K.I.Z, the metal giants Arch Enemy and Bullet For My Valentine or alternative greats like Evanescence. The comedy rock band Tenacious D with Hollywood star Jack Black, singer-songwriter Lauren Sanderson, indie darlings Blond and Cari Cari as well as Yungblud, Charlotte Sands and Machine Gun Kelly underline a stage programme that has never been so versatile and diverse.  The one factor that no one can influence also played a role in 2023 like it hasn't for a long time: for 30 years there hasn't been such good weather on a Rock am Ring weekend as this year. A circumstance that perfectly underlined the overall impression of a perfect and unforgettable weekend at the Nürburgring race track nestled in the picturesque nature of the Eifel. Just as important as the performing artists at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park are the fans, the flair of the grounds and the fantastic atmosphere at the campsites with their considerably extended offers. Throughout the entire weekend, the organisers were in constant real-time exchange with the visitors via several different channels and were pleased to receive all-round positive feedback from the Ring community. "We are happy to have underpinned the pole position of Rock am Ring and Rock im Park in the Central European festival market again this year with the help of our fans," says CEO and festival organiser Matt Schwarz, and Dr. Frithjof Pils, CEO eventimpresents adds: "From the outside, it is hard to see the Herculean task of planning and logistics behind the organisation of festivals like Rock am Ring and Rock im Park. Therefore, our sincere thanks go above all to our fantastic teams and all those involved backstage."   The police and emergency services of the Nürburgring would like to thank a respectful, considerate audience and report rescue and ambulance operations in the manageable range as well as an overall smooth course of events for all forces involved.A large part of the programme was again broadcast exclusively by RTL+. Advance booking for Rock am Ring and Rock im Park from 7-9 June 2024 starts on Monday, 5 June 2023 at 12:00.

Emotional opening at Rock am Ring

03.06.2023

Over 70,000 fans celebrate in perfect weather   Foo Fighters present new album exclusively at the Nürburgring!   Apache 207 closes first festival day with spectacular late-night party at the petrol station   In perfect weather, over 70,000 fans celebrated the opening of Germany's biggest festival with a sensational line-up that once again leads the national festival scene with an unprecedented breadth and exclusivity of top-class artists*. The first day at Rock am Ring ended with a rousing show by exclusive headliner Foo Fighters on the Utopia Stage and a late night special by Apache 207.   To kick off Germany's biggest music festival, Rock am Ring 2023, more than 70,000 fans enthusiastically celebrated the start of the festival season at the Nürburgring. In perfect spring weather, many of them arrived by city shuttle and enjoyed the 360-degree event experience of the newly renovated festival grounds with a varied gastronomic offer and extended camping options.   This year's edition of Rock am Ring was opened early on Friday afternoon under blue skies by folk punkers Flogging Molly. The British Gen-Z icon Yungblud as well as the nu-metal giants Limp Bizkit also caused a stir amidst the cheers of the fans. Just like the Utopia Stage co-headliners Rise Against, the latter will play their only European festival appearances this year at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, out of an old attachment. German rap whiz Badmómzjay as well as Giant Rooks, Juju, and many others also contributed to an all-round successful festival start. Also this year, numerous shows were broadcast by RTL+.   The already unforgettable start of the Ring weekend was crowned on Friday evening by the Foo Fighters with an exclusive European festival performance, during which the band introduced their new drummer Josh Freese to their German fans for the first time. Before that, some lucky Rock-am-Ring fans already had the special opportunity to hear the new Foo Fighters album "But Here We Are" in a picturesque Eifel backdrop at sunrise on Thursday morning as part of a Sunrise Album Pre-Listening. At the end of the first day of the festival, there was another spectacular highlight with a late night special by the currently most successful German hip-hop artist Apache 207. The rapper celebrated with the fans on a stage modelled on a petrol station, surfed through the crowd on a boat and released the audience into the night on a second stage with a laser show.   Also for Matt Schwarz, CEO Dreamhaus, and Dr. Frithjof Pils, CEO eventimpresents a furious start: "Rock Am Ring combines unique moments and outstanding performances already on the first day. Foo Fighters and Apache 207 were absolute highlights of the first day, carried by the euphoria of the fans embedded in the backdrop of the Nürburgring in the best weather", summed up the festival organisers.   Last but not least, the organisers had set themselves further sustainability goals this year. DB Cargo, the freight transport subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn, transported 164,000 kg of material over a large part of the route by climate-friendly rail to Germany's biggest festival. This saved more than 80 per cent CO2 compared to road transport, as one goods train replaced 52 trucks.  The decision to use reusable cups on the entire festival grounds also made a contribution to sustainability, which is emphasised not least by the German Environmental Aid: "Large festivals in particular have a special responsibility in view of the large numbers of visitors. Therefore, other festivals should follow Rock am Ring's example and exclusively use reusable tableware", says Elena Schägg from the Kreislaufwirtschaft Deutsche Umwelthilfe e.V. (German Environmental Aid).   On Saturday, Kings Of Leon, K.I.Z., Incubus, Halestorm, Arch Enemy, Evanescence and others are expected at Rock am Ring, before the Foo Fighters complete their exclusive European festival double at Rock im Park on Sunday and Die Toten Hosen set further highlights at the Ring alongside Bullet For My Valentine, Machine Gun Kelly and many others.

As one of the most traditional festivals for traditional vehicles in Europe, it is once again the highlight of the historic motorsport season in Germany. In addition to an outstanding starting field with vehicles from the entire history of the Nürburgring, fans can look forward to a fan world around the Grand Prix circuit. Those who want to experience even more time travel is in the right place at the Nürburgring. The Int. ADAC Truck-Grand-Prix is a little rougher than the historic vehicles. The race trucks will make the racetrack shake - and from 13 to 16 July they will give each other a run for their money when they thunder around the racetrack at around 160 km/h. Also at the start in the supporting programme: the ADAC GT Masters. Besides the track, there will be a lot of colourful activities. With many activities and exhibitors in the paddock, a children's area, a trade fair and, of course, the traditional music festival in the Müllenbachschleife.  Real GT3 highlights await each other on two weekends at the end of July and the beginning of August. The Fanatec GT World Challenge pwd by AWS (29 - 30 July) will kick things off. The DTM immediately follows from 4 to 6 August. A total of 13 teams with six different brands will be competing in the race series, which is being held under the umbrella of the ADAC for the first time. There will be cars from Audi, BMW, Mercedes-AMG Porsche as well as Lamborghini and Ferrari. Strong line-up and only European concert by the Foo Fighters at Rock am RingThe festival fans return at Rock am Ring from 2 to 4 June. Strong headliners are waiting at Rock am Ring again this year with the Toten Hosen and the Kings of Leon. They will be completed by the Foo Fighters, who will make their only European appearance at the festival this year. Anyway, the band, which has won the Grammy eleven times, returns to German stages for the first time after 2018. In addition, many other international fan favourites such as Rise Against, Limp Bizkit, the rock duo Tenacious D or US superstar Machine Gun Kelly await. Motorbike service a tradition for many bikersMotorbikes are also part of the programme at the Nürburgring. They celebrate their traditional opening of the season during the ecumenical service "Anlassen" (2 April). More than 10,000 bikers get their blessing in the paddock and enjoy the highlight: the joint parade around the Nordschleife. In addition, there will be tourist rides on the Grand Prix Track and other programme items in the paddock. Racing motorbikes from different eras will take centre stage at the Cologne circuit. On 14 May, they will show their best side on the Grand Prix Track. Particularly eye-catching are the starts of the veteran sidecar riders and the historic motor scooters. This year, for the third time, the Grand Prix circuit will be the venue of the ADAC/DMC Race Weekend (10-11 June). From "old iron" to sidecars and superbikes, everything is represented here for beginners and experienced pilots.  On foot and by bike around the RingThe fact that the Nürburgring can also be mastered on foot or by bike is impressively demonstrated by the athletes at the Hotfoot Run and at Rad am Ring. On 6 May, the famous obstacle course involves overcoming mountains of straw bales, mud pits and ice-cold pools of water. From 21 to 23 July, the cyclists take on the world's most demanding race track. The highlight of the event is the 24-hour cycle race over the combination of Grand Prix circuit and Nordschleife. But the Nürburgring is also popular with athletes beyond the event: a total of seven cycling and running events are scheduled for 2023. Here, amateur athletes can run or experience the legendary track on the various dates.  But even without a major event, the Nürburgring is always worth a visit. There is much to discover and marvel at. For example, the motorsport experience museum ring°werk, the ring°kartbahn with pure motorsport feeling, the Nürburgring eSports bar, the ring°kino with one of the largest 3D cinema screens in the region or various gastronomic highlights such as the Italian restaurant Lucia or the Bitburger Gasthaus in the ring°carré as well as the Devils Diner at the Nordschleife await the visitors. For those who want to take a look behind the scenes of the legendary race track, the backstage tour is just the right thing - including a visit to the winner's podium. > see the whole event calendar 2023 Start of the season with a new claim"nürburgring. we make your heart race."The Nürburgring is taking off with a new claim. And of course there are a variety of emotional image motifs from all events and moments at the Nürburgring via the Nürburgring communication channels.  No matter where, no matter when: everyone should have the opportunity to experience a piece of the Nürburgring and, of course, to feel for themselves what it means when it says: "nürburgring. we make your heart race."

Exclusive European headline performances of Foo Fighters at Rock am Ring

25.01.2023

It's an event: The Foo Fighters will play exclusively at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park this year. Since their founding by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl in 1994, the Foo Fighters have won eleven Grammy Awards, among others, the band most recently reached the Top 5 of the US Billboard charts with five consecutive albums and, with 30 million albums sold, they are one of the biggest stadium rock bands of today. The venue for their first German concerts in five years was not chosen by chance: Band and festivals have a long friendship, most recently the Foo Fighters played two spectacular headlining shows at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park in 2018. After the Toten Hosen and Kings Of Leon, the Foo Fighters are now the third main stage headliner. Meanwhile, fans of hard sounds will be happy about another spectacular new confirmation, because Five Finger Death Punch will also perform at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park. The modern metallers are among the most successful hard rock bands of the past ten years and have been awarded gold and platinum many times.Another old acquaintance is the German indie star Thees Uhlmann, who already performed with his band Tomte at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park in 2006. The line-up is completed by the American metal band Bad Wolves, the Austrian indie duo Cari Cari, the glam rockers Steel Panther, the indie rock bands Yonaka and Pabst as well as Die Nerven, the most important German discourse rock band of the moment. Also newly confirmed are Sam Tompkins, Mod Sun and the Chemnitz indie band Blond. With the only European performances by the Foo Fighters this year and the other new additions, the programme is sensational and once again leads the national festival scene with an unprecedented breadth and exclusivity of top-class artists. Die Toten Hosen are extending their live celebrations of the band's 40th anniversary and will perform for the first time in a calendar year only at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, where they will play their only two headline shows in Germany in 2023. Kings Of Leon and the British metalcore pioneers Bring Me The Horizon can also be experienced this summer at Central European festivals exclusively at Ring and Park. International fan favourites like Rise Against, Limp Bizkit or the rock duo Tenacious D as well as alternative rockers Incubus, Evanescence with singer Amy Lee, US superstar Machine Gun Kelly or the hardcore through-starters Turnstile will also play exclusive festival shows at the Rocks. The punk rock veterans NOFX have chosen Ring and Park for their last shows in Germany, for which the festivals provide a fitting setting. Rock am Ring and Rock im Park will take place from 2 to 4 June 2023 at the Nürburgring and at Nuremberg's Zeppelin Field. Tickets are still available for both festivals.
