The Nürburgring highlights in April

01.04.2025

Several dates at the Nürburgring in April are proving to be real visitor magnets. In addition to the well-known motorcycle season opener 'Anlassen' (April 27), thousands of ring fans are traditionally expected in the Eifel region over the entire Easter weekend (April 18-21). The exciting second race of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (April 26) is also taking place – an important test for many teams in preparation for the 24-hour race. The Nürburgring Drift Cup also starts its season on the same weekend (April 26th-27th). Classic car fans also get their money's worth in the fourth month of the year. The After Work Classics invites all owners of historic vehicles to the Grand Prix circuit for the first time in 2025 on April 22nd. A brief overview of the highlights: “Anlassen” motorcycle service | April 27Thousands of motorcyclists and their joint ride over the famous 20.832 kilometers of the Nordschleife: the two-wheeler parade at “Anlassen” is an extraordinary experience for the two-wheeler community every year. This year, the Nürburgring is once again inviting all motorcyclists to the season opener. On Sunday, April 27, thousands of bikers are expected in the Eifel again. From early morning, demonstrations, hands-on activities and various exhibitors will lure visitors to the paddock of the Ring before “Anlassen” reaches its climax: with a special two-wheeler church service and the joint convoy across the famous asphalt of the race track at the end. As every year, admission to the event is free. Easter weekend at the Nürburgring | April 18-21Four days of tourist trips in a row: Easter is traditionally also a celebration for Nürburgring enthusiasts. Both the Nordschleife and the Grand Prix circuit are open to everyone from Good Friday to Easter Monday (April 18 to 21). Visitors can take to the legendary asphalt in their own vehicles all day long. The Easter tourist trips are a real magnet for visitors: thousands of automobile fans from all over the world usually flock to the Eifel for a short vacation during this weekend. And there is also plenty to discover off the track at the Nürburgring destination: driving fun for children and adults on the ring°kart track, family fun with historic racing cars in the ring°werk motorsport adventure museum, fascinating digital action in the Nürburgring eSports Bar – and maybe the Easter Bunny will even leave a little something for loved ones in the ring°fanshop. ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie | April 26Racing action on the legendary Nordschleife: The second race of the ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS) this season will take place on Saturday, April 26, at the most demanding race track in the world. Many top teams have already announced their participation, as it is an important milestone for many of them before the 24-hour race in June. The key points of the NLS: More than 120 race cars at the same time – from the lightning-fast Ferrari GT3 to the production-based BMW – compete in a demanding race over four hours on the combination of the Nordschleife and Grand Prix circuit. And the best thing about it is that fans get to be really close. The ticket (adults €25, children under 14 free) includes the paddock, the starting grid and access to the grandstands. Nürburgring Drift Cup | April 26 & 27It's not just since the Fast and Furious movies that car fans have known: perfect drifts are a fine art. Year after year, talented drifts from all over Europe come to the Nürburgring Drift Cup in the Müllenbachschleife. On the traditional section of the Grand Prix circuit, they compete against each other in direct duels in front of critical judges. The high-powered vehicles deliver a great sound backdrop and the pilots give everything for the perfect drift. The first date in 2025 is the last weekend in April, April 26-27, and will be held concurrently with the NürburgringLangstrecken-Serie and the motorcycle church service “Anlassen”. Tickets are already available for 20 euros (adult day ticket). After Work Classics | 22. 24h Nürburgring 2025: colorful, diverse, exciting!

29.03.2025

Curtain up for the 53rd edition of the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring from June 19th to 22nd, 2025: The opening event of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS) on the penultimate weekend in March was the overture to an epic in many acts at the legendary Nürburgring-Nordschleife. This year, the strongest GT3 teams, drivers and makes will compete for the coveted 24-hour trophy at the longest race track in the world, which at over 25 km is longer than any other race track in the world. Highlights include the first act in the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers (May 24th-25th) and, of course, the finale furioso in the actual 24h Nürburgring, which is likely to be even more colorful and diverse than before. In addition to the established teams of the German premium manufacturers Audi, BMW, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche, teams with GT3s from Aston Martin, Ferrari, Ford and Lamborghini will be making their mark this year. The action at the opening race showed that the supposed “exotic” and “underdogs” are in the thick of the action and will have a say in the awarding of the top positions. If you want to secure your box seat for this spectacle, you can do so now. At the NLS opener, a defending champion was initially in the spotlight. Frank Stippler secured pole position in the Audi R8 LMS GT3 from Juta Racing and showed what is still possible in the already somewhat older GT from Ingolstadt. He led a very colorful field into the warm-up lap before the start: eight different brands took the top ten positions in the first NLS qualifying session of the season. Stippler, for example, was joined on the grid by the Walkenhorst-Aston Martin GT3, followed in rows two and three by the McLaren 720S GT3 from Dörr Motorsport and the Ferrari 296 GT3 from Kondo Racing / Rinaldi. Lamborghini, Mercedes-AMG, BMW, Porsche lined up behind them – a real feast of what are currently arguably the most beautiful sports cars. In the race, it was the top dogs that set the tone: Porsche achieved a clean quadruple victory, with the two Falken 911s ahead of the Manthey team's “Grello” and the 911 GT3R from Dinamic GT. And of course, the season opener was also extremely exciting in other respects: 22 partly hard-fought vehicle classes, in which everything from production cars to thoroughbred racing cars were represented. A good omen for an exciting season in amateur and popular sports as well – the fans also saw it that way and provided provided a great backdrop for this first show race. Old and new highlights for visitorsEven though there are three months between the start of the Nordschleife season at the end of March and the season highlight at the 24h Nürburgring, fans can secure their personal ticket now. New this year: tickets are available throughout online at the 24-hour ticket shop during the event weekend. With the electronic admission ticket on your cell phone, you can also enter the track. Another new feature for visitors is the option of securing their parking space in advance: there are parking spaces available in the D9 area (near the Nürburg), for which a continuous parking permit can be purchased from Thursday to Sunday parking permit can be purchased from Thursday to Sunday. And the trip to the Ring is worthwhile on all these days! Because from Corpus Christi Thursday (June 19th) they will experience a huge program on the longest race track in the world. In addition to the 24-hour race, the Circuit Challenge power test (Thursday) and the 24-hour classic race (Saturday) will also provide plenty of drama. The Grand Prix circuit will be the venue for entertaining hours with the touring car legend race and the cup and touring car trophy. In addition to the race program, highlights such as the traditional Adenauer Racing Day on Wednesday will also be entertaining. And, of course, the Falken Drift Show will be back on Friday evening, taking place on the Müllenbach loop at the same time as the big autograph session and the pit walk at the start and finish line.

The Haupt Racing Team will contest its first race with the Ford Mustang GT3 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife at the NLS season opener. The two beefy US cars of the team from the industrial park at the Nürburgring are extremely well staffed: Nico Bastian, Arjun Maini, Dennis Olsen and Frank Stippler will take turns in the #2 car. The second Mustang with starting number #6 will be driven by Dennis Fetzer, Jusuf Owega, David Schumacher and Dirk Müller. “The whole team is looking forward to our first race weekend with the Ford Mustang GT3,” says HRT Managing Director Ulrich Fritz. “We couldn't have chosen a better place than our home track for the debut.”   The new BMW M4 GT3 EVO, fielded by ROWE RACING, is also making its Nordschleife racing debut. Augusto Farfus, 'Jesse Krohn', Raffaele Marciello and Kelvin van der Linde will take the #98 car into the race on Saturday. The BMW M4 GT4 EVO will also make its debut on the Nordschleife in the 2025 season, driven by customer teams. Among those contesting the full season are three influencers, 'Jimmy Broadbent', Steve Brown and '@mgcharoudin', who will be competing for the BILSTEIN by BLACK FALCON team together with Manuel Metzger. “I'm really looking forward to experiencing the EVO versions of our BMW M4 GT3 and BMW M4 GT4 for the first time in an official race on the toughest race track in the world,” says Björn Lellmann, Head of Customer Racing at BMW M Motorsport. After a three-year break, Black Falcon is also entering a GT3 car in the Nürburgring Endurance Series again for the first time. Daan Arrow, Gabriele Piana, Ben Bünnagel and Mike Stursberg will take turns at the wheel of the Porsche 911 GT3 R. The Am quartet will face strong competition from équipe vitesse, JUTA RACING (both Audi R8 LMS) and the Rennazzo Motorsport team led by Thai drift legend Kiki Sak Nana in the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2, among others.   The GT3 Pro category features both well-known teams and newcomers. Manthey EMA is entering 'Grello', the legendary Porsche 911 GT3 R. Falken Motorsports and Dinamic GT are also relying on the rear-engined sports car from Zuffenhausen. Red Bull Team ABT are fielding a Lamborghini Huracán GT3, as is Konrad Motorsport. Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed are entering two Mercedes-AMG GT3s at the Nürburgring and Scherer Sport PHX are backing a proven performer in the shape of the Audi R8 LMS. REALIZE KONDO RACING with Rinaldi are making their debut with a Ferrari 296 GT3. The GT3 lineup is rounded off by an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 from Walkenhorst Motorsport and a McLaren 720S GT3 EVO from Dörr Motorsport. Both cars will compete in the Pro-Am category.   Champions go their separate ways The trio of champions from the 2024 season will go their separate ways from now on. Sven Markert will drive the BMW M240i Racing Cup of Adrenalin Motorsport Team Mainhattan Wheels with starting number #1. Toby Goodman is moving to AVIA W&S Motorsport and will share the cockpit of the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS with Moritz Oberheim and Philip Miemois. Ranko Mijatovic will contest the 2025 season together with Tobias Wahl and Nick Wüstenhagen in the FK Performance Motorsport BMW M4 GT4. Eight vehicles have been entered in the BMW 325i Challenge by Goodyear, which has been newly established this year. The well-known NLS teams SRS Team Sorg Rennsport, rent2Drive-racing, Keeevin Sports and Racing, Eifelkind Racing, JS Competition and FK Performance Motorsport will face NLS returnees Dr. Dr. Stein Tveten motorsport. Other potential 'master classes' in which full points are awarded with seven or more cars are the VT2-F+4WD, VT2-RWD, SP10, SP8T and the two cup classes of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring.   Like father, like son In addition to the aforementioned David Schumacher, son of ex-Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher, another prominent 'son' is taking part in the 70th ADAC Westfalenfahrt. Giuliano Alesi, whose father Jean celebrated successes in Formula 1 and DTM, is competing for TOYOTA GAZOO Racing with a Supra Evo GT4 in the SP8T class. Alesi is set to drive two cars in order to get as much track time as possible, and his father will certainly not miss the opportunity to keep his fingers crossed for Giuliano on site. Michael Bohrer has a very special race day ahead of him. For the first time, his eight-year-old son Jonas will be competing in a race on the same day and at the same location. While father Michael is piloting a Hyundai i30N for CSRacing together with Gerrit Holthaus, Jonas is taking part in the opening race of the 1st NLS Kart Slalom Championship. “I'm really looking forward to our very special racing premiere together,” says Michael Bohrer. “Jonas grew up at the Nürburgring. It's the first time we've been to a race day together, so it's something new. I also took my first steps in motorsport in the youth kart slalom and I think it's great that the NLS offers young people this opportunity.” On the helicopter landing pad in the paddock, the kart kids will be on the course from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m., starting in five age groups with identical electric karts from Mach1.   Get your tickets now! Tickets for the opening race of the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series are available for 25 euros (children up to and including 14 years of age are free of charge) at vln.de/tickets and at the box offices. This includes access to the open grandstands at the Grand Prix circuit, the exclusive spectator areas Brünnchen and Pflanzgarten, as well as the paddock, the pit lane and the starting grid. The positions on the starting grid will be determined in qualifying between 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. During the pit walk starting at 10:20 a.m. and the visit to the starting grid starting at 11:10 a.m., fans will then experience motorsport with all their senses. Also present on Saturday will be the Nürburgring mascot 'Legend' and Sully from Monster AG. The race starts at 12 noon.

18.03.2025

There is now a special area for camping fans who want to experience the Nürburgring 24 Hours without time-consuming queuing and in a relaxed environment. In the C3 camping area, you can reserve a 10 x 5 meter plot in advance and enjoy the advantages there. As with a concert hall plan, you can see the place where you can experience the 24-hour event in the immediate vicinity of the Goodyear hairpin bend when you book. In addition to electricity, which is provided via distribution cabinets and is included, there are nearby water points and a shower and toilet block within walking distance. The area is particularly suitable for families, as you can, for example, only move into your reserved pitch on Friday, can rely on the night's rest being strictly enforced from 22:00 and can use the specially set up DSK shuttle bus stop to be taken to the paddock or the Nordschleife free of charge. The reservation costs for Wednesday to Sunday of 100 euros for a maximum of eight people are charged in addition to the usual camping fees and ticket costs, but these are only payable for the days that you are actually on site. The “Family & Friends Camping” pitches are already sold out.

Nürburgring has a full calendar of events in 2025

12.03.2025

Ready for a full-throttle 2025: the engines will finally start up at the Nürburgring in March. And once again, the event calendar is full to bursting: 60 events make the Eifel race track a worthwhile destination for many good reasons well into the fall. Racing spectacle, festival summer, comedy evening or family outing: the Nürburgring will make hearts beat faster again this year. They belong to the Ring as much as the champagne shower on the podium: crowd-pullers such as the Nürburgring 24 Hours, the DTM, Rock am Ring, the Truck Grand Prix and the Oldtimer Grand Prix will once again attract hundreds of thousands of visitors to the Eifel this year. A fast-paced mix that includes around 60 public events between March and November alone. Major events alternate with hands-on motor sports and small after-work pleasures, such as the Nürburgring cycling and running club or the Afterwork Classics. One of the highlights will be the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring. On the Corpus Christi weekend (June 19-22), well over 100 race cars will take on the ultimate challenge: 24 hours non-stop on the most demanding track in the world. A spectacle – also because of its passionate fans. Tens of thousands will be camping along the track, creating the unique atmosphere of the Ring. One new feature this year is a particularly family-friendly camping option in the new Family & Friends area. If you enjoy the thrilling and close racing on the Nordschleife, there are many other opportunities to experience racing action in the Green Hell throughout the year at the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series and the RCN circuit racing challenge. The International ADAC Truck Grand Prix is also a real experience. For decades, Germany's truckers have been celebrating Christmas with country music, camping and fast-paced racing. This year, the truckers will be on the loose from July 11 to 13. The traditional music festival has recently undergone a rejuvenation. The revamped Saturday evening program now features well-known party artists, and affordable single-day tickets are available for this event. Europe's most famous racing series, the DTM (August 8-10), will once again be a guest on the Nürburgring's sprint track – and will shine with a wide variety of brands, familiar faces and thrilling racing. Or how about a journey back in time to the last century of motorsport? With the Nürburgring Classic (June 13-15), the BELMOT Oldtimer Grand Prix (August 1-3) and the ADAC 1000 km race (September 20-21), three events are dedicated to historic racing cars. Indoor events from comedy to sportsThere will be plenty of laughter and celebration off the track this year: Comedian Carolin Kebekus will be making a guest appearance in the ring°arena in the fall (September 20) with her celebrated Shesus tour. NightWash Live will also be bringing stand-up comedy to the Nürburgring again this year, on November 15. And at Darts am Ring, some of the world's best dart throwers will transform the ring°arena into a madhouse together with many celebrating darts fans on March 29 – just like at the big role model, the Ally Pally. The Nürburgring Family Day on October 26 and the Job Fair on November 7 and 8 round off the indoor highlights. And because the Nürburgring is not just about watching, other hands-on events are looking forward to motivated participants. Whether on two wheels at Rad am Ring (July 18-20), on foot at the Hotfoot Run (May 10), or with the powerful Gargenschatz at GRIP - das Motorevent (July 6). Speaking of garage treasures: Numerous tourist driving days are planned again for all petrol heads, during which anyone can drive on the ring. The Nordschleife and Grand Prix circuit will open their barriers on well over 100 days.

The two Porsche works drivers Preining and Güven will remain with the team as experienced campaigners, once again at the wheel of a Porsche 911 GT3 R sporting the iconic Grello livery. Güven will continue to compete with car number 90, while Preining will aim for success with the number 91. Manthey will present the design of Schuring's 911 at a later date. “While our expectations were not met in 2024, we were very satisfied with our team performance and are pleased to be represented in the DTM with an even stronger line-up in 2025. In our third season in the series, we want to go on the offensive again,” explains Nicolas Raeder, Managing Director of Manthey Racing GmbH. “I am pleased that Ayhancan and Thomas will remain with our team and hope that this year's results will reflect the very good cooperation. Morris had a very successful WEC season in 2024. He is a young driver who has impressed us with his performance, so the next logical step is now the DTM.” Thomas Preining celebrated one victory last year and finished the championship in fifth place. In his fourth season in the DTM, he wants to fight for the title again: “I'm happy that everything stays the same and that we continue to work together as a team. I believe that consistency is extremely important in our sport and it helps tremendously when you can work with the same people over the years. We grow ever closer and we will try to make use of that this year. We have had many great moments together as a team. 2024 was certainly a difficult season for us, but that's part of it and ultimately makes us stronger. Now we are coming back with a clear goal: we want to be champions again!” Ayhancan Güven is hungry for more trophies after his first podium for Manthey EMA in the season finale: “I'm excited to continue competing with Manthey in the DTM in the 2025 season! Last season did not meet our expectations. However, we have improved a lot over the course of the year, especially in the second half of the season, when I was also able to celebrate my first podium with the team in the DTM. That will be our starting point for 2025. I know what we are capable of and what results we can achieve, and our goals are ambitious. Preparations are going smoothly and I can't wait for the new season to start!” For Schuring, competing in the DTM is a dream come true: “The DTM has always been a series I wanted to race in. It's a dream come true, and I'm really proud to do it with Manthey. The team proved that it is one of the best by winning the 2023 DTM title. Last year we won Le Mans together and I am very happy that we are now also working together in a sprint series. I love sprint races and in the DTM I have the chance to really prove myself as a driver. Thanks to my time in the Porsche Carrera Cup, I know seven of the DTM tracks – only the Norisring will be new to me. I am highly motivated and have worked very hard over the winter to prepare myself as well as possible. I am also proud to call Ayhancan and Thomas my teammates. I know them from previous races, both are strong drivers and I respect them very much.”
